Horses

We run from 12 - 15 mares and try to produce 6 - 10 high quality colts a year. All of the mares that we raise ourselves are started under saddle and are ridden, and most of the mares we have purchased have also been ridden. Several have had successful performance careers before entering the mare band. We breed to our own stallions and to very selected outside stallions to achieve specific breeding objectives. Our colts all get a lot of hands on attention prior to being started here on the ranch or by a professional trainer.

Cattle

We run a medium sized registered Angus cow and calf operation. We have selected the individuals for our foundation herd from some of the top cows of reputation Angus breeders. We breed for high quality and marketable genetics.

We raise commercial grain crops and, in addition to feed for our cattle operations, we raise and market hay specifically produced for horse operations.

Betsy Bar Cody-Reference

Betsy Bar Cody was ranked 32 in the top 50 AQHA dams of NRHA money earners. She was a NRHA Futurity Finalist herself and has produced several NRHA Futurity Finalists with money over $112,410.50. Her sire Joe Cody is an AQHA Champion and has a Register of Merit in cutting and is in the AQHA Hall of Fame, his sire Bill Cody was Superior Halter Champion, and Joe Cody’s Damsire is King. Bloodlines don’t get much better.
