Horses

We run from 12 - 15 mares and try to produce 6 - 10 high quality colts a year. All of the mares that we raise ourselves are broke to ride and are ridden, and most of the mares we have purchased have also been broke to ride. Several have had successful performance careers before entering the mare band. We breed to our own stallions and to very selected outside stallions to achieve specific breeding objectives. Our colts all get a lot of hands on attention prior to being started here on the ranch or by a professional trainer.

Cattle

We run a medium sized registered Angus cow and calf operation. We have selected the individuals for our foundation herd from some of the top cows of a reputation Angus breeder. We breed for high quality and marketable genetics. We also run a commercial yearling operation.

Hay

We raise commercial grain crops and, in addition to feed for our cattle operations, have recently begun raising and marketing hay specifically produced for horse operations.

We harvest a brome grass pasture and several acres of alfalfa and this spring we just planted 32 new acres of 50/50 mix orchard grass and alfalfa that is under irrigation. The hay is stored indoors in small square bales in order to ensure highest quality, moisture level, consistency and portability for the best nutrition for our horses.
