WHAT A CHARACTER
Henry was Neal’s neighbor in Denver and he fell in love with Max and Sam. Whenever Neal and the dogs were in the city, Henry liked to steal them from Neal. He took them for walks, gave them treats and showed them a tremendous amount of love. Henry and Max both left us about the same time late in the summer of 2007 and we are all pretty sure maybe they needed each other up there where they were going.
TRAIL’S END
One day it’s sure to happen
A stage we’ll call “Trail’s End”,
When it’s time to leave the scene,
Slip off to oblivion, it’s just around the bend
And it will be goodbye to everyone,
To friends and foes alike:
To those I love and ones I don’t,
A motley collection for an overaged tyke.
And will there be regrets?
Maybe just a few;
Of what I could have done better,
But game’s end is now overdue.
So, it’s over, it’s done,
And off to the one-way-door.
It may not be to Paradise
But I won’t have to cover up anymore
